What's the difference between this and your regular Goat's Milk &Tallow Lotion?
Both lotions share the same nourishing base of grass-fed tallow, fresh goat's milk, shea butter, and skin-loving oils. This one adds a high concentration of magnesium chloride — an essential mineral most people are deficient in. So, while you're moisturizing your skin, you're also supporting better sleep, easing muscle tension, and helping your body absorb a nutrient it desperately needs
How does magnesium absorb through the skin?
Topical magnesium (called transdermal magnesium) absorbs directly through your skin into the bloodstream — bypassing the digestive system entirely. This is actually more effective than oral supplements for many people, since pills can cause stomach upset and aren't always well absorbed. Apply to areas with thinner skin like the wrists, behind the knees, or the soles of your feet for best uptake.
When should I use it?
Most people apply it 30-60 minutes before bed to help with sleep, restless legs, and muscle tension. You can also use it post-workout, during PMS, or anytime you feel stressed, sore, or wound up. A small amount goes a long way — start with a teaspoon and build up as needed.
Will it tingle or sting?
Some people feel a slight tingle the first few times they use it — this is normal and usually means your magnesium levels are low. The sensation fades within a few minutes and disappears entirely after a few days of consistent use. If it's intense, try applying it to slightly damp skin or using less. We've intentionally formulated this to be gentler than straight magnesium oil.
What's the shelf life?
12 months from the date of pour, or 6 months once opened. We don't use synthetic preservatives, so we make smaller batches more often instead of letting bottles sit on shelves.
