The Story Behind VYB

I grew up knowing the land could heal.

I was raised in rural Southern Utah — small town, wide open land, horses, and a farm that demanded everything you had. From a young age I learned that hard work was not optional, and that nature had answers if you paid attention. We used what the land gave us. We trusted real things. That upbringing never left me. Even after life took me north to Salt Lake City — through a marriage, a divorce, a complete rebuilding of myself — I carried those values with me. I settled in Herriman, Utah, a small community on the edge of the valley where I could still see the mountains and still breathe. I started over. And I did it on my own terms.

I trained as a Permanent Makeup Artist. PMU work demands a detail-oriented eye — you are working millimeters from someone's face, making decisions that last. It taught me precision, patience, and how to truly see a person. I built a clientele who trusted me with something deeply personal. And sitting across from them, day after day, I started noticing something that I could not ignore. Their skin was suffering. Inflamed, reactive, dry, sensitive skin that had tried everything on the shelf and found nothing that actually worked. As someone raised on a farm — someone who understood what grass-fed tallow was before it became a trend, who knew the value of raw goat's milk long before it appeared in a beauty store — I knew there had to be a better answer.

"VYB was never built to be the biggest skincare brand. It was built to be the most honest one."

So I found one. I connected with a small team of women in Lindon, Utah — skilled makers who understood small-batch, honest formulation. Together we started creating. It began simply: Goat's Milk and Tallow Body Lotion, handcrafted bar soaps, rich body butters, whipped soaps, and sugar scrubs. Real ingredients. No fillers. Nothing I could not pronounce or would not put on my own children. What started as a solution for my clients evolved into something I never expected. The products worked — not because of clever marketing, but because the ingredients had been working on human skin for generations before synthetic chemistry arrived to replace them. We grew. We added plant-based face serums, targeted treatments, and an expanding line of products built on the same philosophy that started it all: honest ingredients, small batches, made with care by real people in Utah.
